Calmer, positive, non-critical me seemed to produce a calmer, more positive household.

Need to stay positive and make a plan knowing that if I’m the problem, I can be the solution.

Capture and treasure their hearts. Earn and keep their trust. Protect and defend them.

Great cause + GREAT friends = great time!

Working (and only working) at work gets a lot accomplished.

Grateful for the 4th chance (or is it the 5th) for him to get it together.  Hope he takes advantage…

The meetings run better when I get organized, keep things moving, and summarize what we DECIDED.

Nice to get invited to talk over coffee, especially by your son with whom you’ve had a kind of rough stretch.

Listening and being positive is a lot harder when the person your supporting doesn’t seem interested in helping himself.

Turns out a caterpillar can sting or bite and it itches and swells.

Drinking, dancing, and celebrating is common across cultures.  Everybody wants the same things don’t they?

Based on the reaction of my wife I am acting with disrespect toward the 9-year-0ld even when I’m not aware of it.  It’s definitely on my radar now.

Feels great to work for months not sure of success and then both pass the audit AND have the auditor specifically compliment the organization of materials.

Great to hear about boys who raise the bar for the whole class (and their team) as positive role models.

Even when they disrespect their mom you need to treat them with respect…or go to bed with regrets.

You always want to support, encourage, and help your kids, especially when they’re “adults”.

A lot of planning (but not too much), a couple audibles, and some great group participation equals successful picnic games. 

Sharing football, soccer, and racing, wonderful father and sons time to build memories and strengthen bonds.
