Winning the Lottery

A funny name turns out to be less funny when you find out she’s an immigrant from communist Eastern Europe who was one of 2,000 (out of hundreds of thousands) who got a visa 15 years ago and came to the U.S. with a husband and child, limited English, and no jobs.

Showing Up

Getting out to big networking events at lunch and dinner makes for a busy day but is a good reminder of how rewarding it is to create and maintain connections.

Hard to find a better end to the day than hearing that we’re buddies from the 3-year-old as he falls asleep on my chest.

My Team

Getting emotionally attached to sports teams leads to lots of time wasted watching TV and unhealthy mood swings based on outcomes of wins and losses completely out of my control.
